Embroidery Basics
Learn or relearn basic embroidery stitches step by step with a hand on, visual approach. Each project will focus on 2-4 stitches to learn. Take 1 or all classes. All materials included. Below is the list of projects:
Letter monogram: satin and outline
Dandelion wisher: turkey rug, fly and back
Lavender bouquet: french knot, back and whip
Floral heart: french knot, back, lazy daisy or fishbone, and woven rose

Wild Basketry
Basket Weaving Weekend
Spend the weekend with us as we dive into the exciting world of wild basketry. Saturday will be spent learning how to make cordage from cattail (and ornamental grass depending on your speed). Discussions this day will include ethical foraging, what plants/materials are good for cordage, and what vines are useful for basket weaving. Additionally, we will spend time processing recycled fabric to use in our weaving as well. Sunday will be spent constructing our two hoop ribbed baskets. We will use grapevine for the bones of the basket and incorporate what we processed the day before in our weaving in addition to using various cattail, bark and vine that will be provided, Plese bring fabric in to cut up and recycle. Good examples are old bedsheets and old t-shirts.
This class is being taught by weaving instructor, Rebecca Bratt (read her bio in About section).
