Portrait Drawing Intensive Class
Animal or Human
This is an art intensive workshop learning about the fundamentals of portrait drawing and how learning the art of seeing go hand in hand. This is a practical method rooted in the drawing basics. 5 lessons in group or private setting. You will learn first how to see the lines and shapes of an image. Then you will learn form and value to give your foundations realism. Classes held at Hudson Valley Atelier in Florida, NY is scheduled at a mutually convenient day/time.

Watercolor Animal Portrait Intensive Class
You will learn first how to sketch for your foundation to watercolor. Then color block and several watercolor techniques to round out this watercolor intensive workshop. Workshop can be taken in separate sessions or as a long day intensive. Each section would be approximately 1+ hours. If you choose the one day intensive your workshop should last 3+ hours. If you choose to take individual sessions they will be broken down as:

s2: Color block and 1st layer

Charles Bargue Drawing Course
The Charles Bargue Drawing Course is one of the most influential classical drawing courses that is still being used in fine art Ateliers throughout the world. The course was developed in the mid 19th century to guide students from plaster casts to the study of great master drawings to drawing from life, a foundational exercise for fine art training.
The goal of this 10-week course is to sharpen drawing ability and technique. Students will be guided through completing a single drawing from a reproduction in the Charles Bargue Drawing Course. The process will take students from the straight-line block-in to the end stages and subtle finishing. Copies will be completed in pencil with varying degrees of pressure. Please bring a 9x12 toned sketching pad, HB pencil and kneaded eraser to first class. Class will have homework assignments to be completed by next class.

Meditative Art
Relax with either neurographic art or momigami and learn meditative art techniques. Both are 90 minute classes. Materials are included. Classes held at Hudson Valley Atelier in Florida, NY is scheduled at a mutually convenient day/time.
Adult
Neurographic art - is a technique that involves drawing lines and circles and eliminating all sharp corners to ultimately resemble our brain's neurons. Used in art therapy practice and in certified mental health programs.
Momigami - is Japanese for “kneaded paper.” By kneading paper you can transform it into a durable, flexible paper with a cloth-like texture. Momigami can be used for collage, cardmaking, bookbinding, and many other paper crafts.

Recycled Decor
We will be using materials to recycle to create a useful and artistic home decor. Some design ideas will use cardboard, magazines, water bottles and more. Students may bring their own recycled materials or use what is provided. This is a step by step class, project will vary. Air DRY cLAY
This workshop is a multi class intensive. 1st day will be working clay and sculpt. After clay dries the 2nd class will be painting and finishing clay. You will make a projects like a trinket dish, a paint palette, succulent holder and more. Class is held at Hudson Valley Atelier in Florida, NY

How it works:
Organization provides the space, and the Atelier provides the activity and instruction. The Atelier retains an hourly fee for time plus a small materials fee per participant depending on activity chosen. Organization retains all the profit. The Atelier will also provide a raffle basket/prize if organization is doing a raffle in addition to activity. Several projects to choose from.
*Travel anywhere in Orange County, NY is included. There will be a gas fee for any travel outside of OC.

A day to gather with like-minded creatives. Gather at the Atelier with your choice of project (or choose a kit from the store). We will all make, create, talk, laugh and get to know each other.
